Journalists to recharge and reboot in Omaha

After a great regional conference in St. Louis last year, Society of
Professional Journalists
members in Region 7 (IA, KS, MO, NE)  are heading
to Omaha.
Sessions include:

  • Showdown in Dodge City: A Kansas journalist (Claire O’Brien) finds herself defending her decision to keep her word to a confidential source.
  • Mark of Excellence Awards ‹ honoring student journalists in IA, KS, MO and NE.  Keynote:  Joseph Jordan, Longtime Omaha investigative journalist Joe Jordan and Founder/Managing Editor and Investigative Reporter for Nebraska Watchdog.
