Do you want to write a book? Or, maybe you have a finished book in a drawer somewhere and wonder how to publish it?
Let this month’s SPJ chapter luncheon help. On Thursday, the Society of Professional Journalists hosts a Q&A session with three authors who may be able to help you get that first book of yours published.
Our guest authors are Cheryl Jarvis, writer of “The Marriage Sabbatical” and “The Necklace” who also has taught at Washington and Webster universities; reporter Elizabeth Donald, an award-winning writer of several vampire-themed novels, including the “Nocturnal Urges” series; and Shera Dalin, author of the new book “The Art of Bartering” and an instructor at St. Louis University.
The luncheon will be at 12 noon on May 6 at Lucas Park Grille at 1234 Washington Ave. in downtown St. Louis, and cost $10 for SPJ members and $12 for non-members. Chapter officers for the coming year also will be installed at the meeting.
So bring your questions and a healthy interest in getting that book of yours going.
