2010 is almost behind us and with it goes another year in which we in the media marched in lock step on how we covered and analyzed the big stories, right?
What better way to see how the news reverberated than through two very sharp but very different perspectives?
On Thursday, Jan. 13, SPJ will host political cartoonists R.J. Matson of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Glenn McCoy of the Belleville News Democrat. They promise a red-state vs. blue-state look at the politics and controversies that kept us busy all year as they present and discuss samples of their work.
The lunch is at noon at Lucas Park Grille, 1234 Washington Avenue in downtown St. Louis. Cost is $10 for SPJ members and $12 for nonmembers. The cost includes drink and tip.
Everyone is welcome, but if you’re planning to come please notify David Sheets, president of the St. Louis Pro Chapter.
And Happy New Year!
