ONA to hold jobs seminar for students and new journalists

Our friends at the Online News Association are holding a seminar this Saturday for students and new grads on how to land a job! Here’s the details from their site:

Come join ONA St. Louis on Saturday, Feb 15, as we host a workshop at Saint Louis University on landing a job and making it in the journalism industry. While this event is focused on providing resources for students, all who are interested in learning more about careers in journalism are welcome to attend.

This month’s presenters include Stephanie Zeilenga, a St. Louis-based freelance writer and editor, Matt Sorrell, a St. Louis-based freelance writer, and Cara Anthony, Midwest correspondent for Kaiser Health News.

First-Timer?
For those who have never attended an Online News Association event before, we are part of the world’s largest association of digital journalists. Our mission is to inspire innovation and excellence among journalists to better serve the public.

You do not have to be a member to attend one of our meetups. We do ask that you RSVP well in advance, however, to help us better gauge how much food we will need to order.
