Friday, October 12, 2007 – A Journalism-themed trivia night to benefit the Society of Professional Journalists’ St. Louis chapter. The questions will touch on media, but you don’t need to be a Woodward or Bernstein! It will be held at the Richmond Heights Community Center at 8001 Dale Ave. (63117).
Tables of eight (8) are only $96. There will be cash prizes, as well as a 50/50 drawing. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the trivia begins at 7 p.m. Go to www.stlspj.org for more details.

Last night’s happy hour at The Royale turned into nearly four hours as the last three didn’t leave until just before 10pm. The diverse group included journalists from the Post-Dispatch, West End Word, KWMU, RFT as well as a couple of free-lance writers. The Happy Hour event is held on the 4th Thursday of each month. In September the Happy Hour will move to The Atomic Cowboy.

Journalists from throughout the region and from various media have made The Royale on South Kingshighway a regular place for drinks and discussion. Join fellow journalists Thursday August 23, 2007 from 6pm-8pm — look for the table (outside weather permitting) with the SPJ signs.
