Examine media credibility May 2

Join a discussion on media credibility during SPJ’s Ethics in Journalism Week, April 26-May 2.

Locally active practitioners and internationally acclaimed thinkers on media credibility will be part of a town hall meeting where citizens and journalists can talk about contemporary media issues.

Speakers from St. Louis media and Missouri’s higher education institutions will join moderator Pam Fine from 6-7:15 p.m. May 2 at the AT&T Room at the Missouri History Museum, 5700 Lindell Blvd.

Fine serves as the Knight Chair for News, Leadership and Community at the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. Fine previously served as the managing editor of the Indianapolis Star. She has served four times as a juror for the Pulitzer Prize.

Hear from some of the most well-known and most respected food writers in St. Louis at our April 2 panel, “All the News that’s Fit to Eat.” Join SPJ as we learn about the tastiest (and not so appetizing) parts of writing about restaurants and food from Catherine Neville, co-founder and editor in chief of Sauce Magazine, and restaurant critics Joe and Ann Pollack, authors of the books, “Beyond Toasted Ravioli,” “Beyond Gooey Butter Cake” and “The Great St. Louis Eats Book.”
